At 19, in August 1990, amidst a significant recession and with zero capital, £14,000 in debt, and no formal qualifications, I launched my first business. Leaving school at 14, I entered the highly competitive insurance industry and founded constructaquote.com and Moorhouse Group. Despite the challenges.
I grew the business into one of the UK’s top 100 insurance brokers specializing in the SME market. With a 90% online presence, I retained full ownership and achieved organic growth without external investment.
In August 2021, I successfully e xited to a Private Equity-backed firm in a multimillion-pound deal.
